Our Wedding

To our beloved family &amp; friends, You have all played a part in our love story thus far and we are so excited to invite you to join us as we embark on the next chapter of our lives together, in one of our favorite places in the world, along the Amalfi Coast. Central to our story are the adventures we have shared. Together, we have traveled to China, around Europe, to multiple Caribbean Islands, in the US (so Wen can carry Alexa's bags when she travels for conferences), and of course, Disney World! In 2017, Tyler had the chance to travel to Italy. We lived vicariously through him as he shared pictures of the beautiful landscape, the food he was eating, and the wine he was drinking. So it was special to travel to one of his favorite places as a family in 2024 and to include Wen in that trip. After we got engaged in Disney, it was an easy decision for us to get married in Italy! We knew when we said our vows, we wanted to be surrounded by our favorite people in a place that is loved by us and our families. On our website, you will find the logistical information you need for a seamless journey to Italy, but we also hope you take the time to look at the pictures and read about our story thus far. Be sure to check back often for updates on travel and other logistics. We are counting down the days until we say "I Do" (literally, there are countdowns around the house). And we are so grateful for the role each and every one of you have played in our lives. We cannot wait to begin our next chapter together with all of you by our side. Naples

Naples is the closest airport to Sorrento. You can fly direct from Philadelphia (PHL), Newark (EWR), New York (JFK), Chicago (ORD), and Atlanta to Naples Capodichino (NAP).

Rome

You can also fly to Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO). This is Italy's main international airport, so there are more direct flight options from the U.S. and it may be a more economical option. Added bonus: you will be able to see some of the beautiful, historical sites in Rome (Wen's favorite)!

From Rome to Naples

Via Train: We recommend taking the high-speed train from Rome Termini to Naples Centrale. Trains run every 20-30 minutes and travel time is approximately 1 hour. Ticket prices range from €9.90 to €50. From Naples to Sorrento

Pompeii Buried under layers of ash and pumice after the catastrophic eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD, Pompeii offers a rare glimpse into daily life in the Roman Empire. Its remarkably preserved ruins, including homes, temples, theaters, and even bodies of citizens caught in the eruption. HerculaneumHerculaneum was buried under a thick layer of mud and volcanic material, which contributed to its remarkable preservation. As a result, Herculaneum offers visitors an intimate and immersive journey into the daily lives of its ancient inhabitants. Walking through the streets of Herculaneum, one encounters remarkable intact buildings, beautifully preserved frescoes, and even wooden structures and objects that survived the volcanic onslaught. Mount Vesuvius Standing at around 4,200 feet (1,280 meters) tall, Vesuvius is infamous for its cataclysmic eruption in 79 AD, which buried the nearby cities of Pompeii and Herculaneum under layers ash pumice, preserving them centuries. It is the only active volcano mainland Europe. The walk to the crater is approximately 30 minutes where you can take in the breath-taking views of the Bay of Naples. By the 9th century, it was the most important port in southern Italy. PositanoPositano is a small picturesque town with splendid coastal views. The town itself, with its colorful houses that cling precariously to the hillsides with spectacular views out across the Tyrrhenian Sea. The narrow streets, with their numerous boutiques, slope steeply down between the houses to the Marina Grande, a wide beach with crystal clear waters. RavelloRavello is unique amongst the Amalfi Coast town for its hilltops, rather than coastal, location. Nestled in the hills above Amalfi, it is known as the city of music, a medieval village full of winding cobblestone streets, lush gardens, and breath-taking views of the coast. Be sure to check out Villa Cimbrone while there! Capri (Wen's top pick!)The beautiful Island of Capri is a 25/40 minute journey away on the ferry from Sorrento Marina Piccola. Take a trip up to the town centre on the funicular, enjoy some shopping, or people watching in the famous piazzeta. Walk through the beautiful gardens or take a boat trip out to the Blue Grotto and the famous Faraglioni Rock Formations. Ischia Ischia is a volcanic island in the Gulf of Naples, Italy. It's known for its mineral-rich thermal waters. Hot springs bubble up at Maronti Beach, in the south. East, Roman remains lie beneath the sea floor at Cartaromana Beach. Procida Procida island is a hidden gem. At just 1.6 square miles the island can be explored in a day, by walking through the characteristic pathways, heading to its beaches for a dip in the Mediterranean or enjoying a boat ride around the island. one of Procida’s key features is the ravishing muddle of colorful houses that cling to the hillside overlooking the harbor of Corricella. NaplesHome to the pizza (must try is the fried pizza or a classic Margherita)! Soak up the history by visiting the underground city and catacombs or the cemetery of the skulls. Or have a wander along the waterfront to see the Ovo Castle and take in the wonderful views of Mount Vesuvius. Sit and have a true Neapolitan espresso and try Napoli's delicious dessert Sfogliatelle!
